Your questions answered...

How is the course structured?

You have two study options: a live zoom workshop or online self-paced course. The live workshop combines attendance at a live zoom class and provides additional access to all the materials included in the self-paced option. The self-paced course is online which means that you can work through course materials at a pace which suits you. You will have access to extensive written materials, client resources and PowerPoints. You are required to work through the course systematically in order to receive your course Certificate.

Can I use this course to train as a counsellor?

No. If you wish to train as a counsellor, you will have to undertake recognised training over the course of several years. Different countries have different training requirements.

Can I work with clients as an ATAA® Practitioner if I'm not a therapist, psychologist or life coach?

You are welcome to do the course if you are not already a therapist for your own interest. However, in order to register as an ATAA® Practitioner, you are required to already be registered with an appropriate therapy body and to be a qualified counsellor, life coach, hypnotherapist, Clinical Psychologist or Psychiatrist. You will be asked to confirm that you hold sufficient qualifications at time of booking to work with clients.

Can I get a refund if the course isn't right for me?

You are entitled to a 14 day refund for the online self-paced option only. As long as you request a refund within this timeframe and have accessed 10% or less of the course materials, you qualify for a full refund. Because of limited spaces on the live training course, fees are non-refundable for live workshops.

Is this course only suitable for clients with Level 1 Autism?

Whilst there are aspects of the course you could use with other autistic clients, it is designed for clients with Level 1 Autism and has been tailored for their needs.

What support is available during the training?

Unlimited email support is available while you train. When you submit a query you will receive an email response within 24 hours.

What is involved in being an ATAA® Practitioner?

On completion of the course, subject to meeting professional requirements, you will be able to call yourself an ATAA® Practitioner and use the ATAA® logo and promotional materials. You will receive one month's free membership into the ATAA® Practitioners register, which will allow clients to search for you on this website and www.autism-assessment-online.com, both of which receive several thousands of views per month. In return for a small monthly subscription, you can maintain your presence and will be asked to adhere to ATAA® professional standards.

What do I receive at the end of the course?

Once you have worked through the online course, or have attended the live zoom workshop, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. You will also be able to use the ATAA® logo and tile ATAA® on your website and marketing materials. If you wish, you receive content for your website and will be listed on this website and it's sister website www.autism-assessment-online.com

How long do I have to complete the course?

You have six months from the point of purchase to complete the course. You will have access to your online portal for an additional six months and all written materials are downloadable.
